Rated 91 points by Cigar Aficionado, the Liga Privada No. 9 Robusto looks dark and imposing but leans sweet, with a full, substantial draw delivering hickory, raisins, cocoa, and leather in rich procession. Caramel, roasted nuts, and a hint of pepper lead early, followed by cocoa and espresso with a full, almost meaty finish, a perfect draw, an even burn, and generous smoke. A medium-to-full-bodied Drew Estate favorite, it smokes livelier and smoother than its near-black wrapper suggests.
